Recently i requested HDFC to send me the breakup of reward points earned on my Diners Black Credit Card and i was surprised to see a credit of 1000 points twice and was wondering what is it for. As usual, customer care guys do not know anything about it. However, i came across the offer on emails sent by HDFC which states below.

And i was LUCKY enough to grab the card before Sep 30th. This is huge as this account for 12,000 points over a period of 1 year which equates to Rs.12,000 (1 point = 1 Rs. on Diners Black) in value when redeemed on their Diners site. I’m super excited to see this and i will now make sure i don’t loose the points whatsoever.
While you can’t do anything if you haven’t got the card before Sep 30th, there might be many of you who might not be aware of the offer. This is just a reminder for those and also, its wise to apply for cards if you happen to see such offers beforehand.
Such offers are getting common with HDFC, as earlier they used to provide 3X points for first 3 months when applied online. These are incredible offers. So keep an eye on HDFC Card Offers or simply visit Cardexpert often 🙂

Just happen to see on the website (smartbuy). I have done 5 transactions this months lets see. Is it valid on card upgrade also. Mine was upgraded from Air miles to regalia in September last week.

They have mentioned “Offer applicable only on freshly issued cards” which means upgrades are not considered.
But how they describe “freshly” is bit tricky.
So wait until the statement gets generated and check with Customer care if you’ve got the bonus points.

Freshly includes both – newly issued credit card as well as newly upgraded card

I have Regalia card issued in Sep 2016 but before Sep 30, 2016. I called up HDFC customer care but they were clueless about this offer. Is there any other way to check whether my card is eligible for these offers. Did you receive any email communication regarding the same?

Only way is to make 5 txn’s and wait for a month 🙁
If its freshly issued before sep 30th, you will get it or you can raise complaint to get it, as per the mentioned offer on their website.
just load 1000rs 5 times to mobikwik and withdraw to bank with no additional charges :p
A question, these additional reward points come when? The immediate statement or after sometime?

For me the transactions were done within one billing cycle month but not one calendar month
I did 5 transactions of more than INR 1000 during Dec 1st to Dec. 6th and CC statement got generated on Dec. 12 but additional 1000 reward points are not included. So, as per your experience, the points will be included next month’s statement (i.e. Jan, 2017), right?

They’ve giving out 10X points for all txn’s even if you don’t mention HDFC5X 🙂
However, no idea when they gonna stop it!
THis offer is about swiping card for min 1000Rs atleast 5 times in a month. However, I’m not sure if that’s a calendar month (1st to 30th) or billing cycle.

Is it possible to get Diners Credit Card in addition to Regalia Card. I currently own a Regalia Card and was wondering if I could get Diners without cancelling Regalia. Please advice.
It depends on your credit limit & relationship value with HDFC.

Recently I received a call from HDFC Bank and I was offered upgrade of my Titanium Edge credit card to Regalia card and applied for it. Later, my application was rejected stating that the existing credit limit did not meet the criteria for upgrade to Regalia card.
Could you please let me know what can I do if I want a regalia card? Also let me know the difference between regalia and Regalia first credit card.

Always watch smart buy for the offers. HDFC doesn’t communicate all times.
Also got a message for bookmyshow vouchers for new cards,1 voucher for every 5 transactions UpTo 3 per month.
For Regalia card eligibility is 12 lacs ITR, 7 lacs for Regalia first and for dinners black eligibility is 21 lacs.
Mr. Vijay, usually HDFC GIVES only 1 credit card to 1 customer.
I am also trying for dinners card in addition to already having Regalia.
How do I get reward points breakup on Diners Black? Called customer care twice and they said they do not have any such breakup and can’t send the same.
Is this only for cases where smartbuy is used? Or for anywhere we have used HDFC Credit Card?

I got 1000 RP on a card upgraded after 30th Sept.
I did nit received the points. Got a reply from support that its meant for new card only. Also i have not received the 5x points on transactions done in smartbuy. The cc of hdfc is pathetic.
The buggers at HDFC have silently updated the Terms & Conditions. The revised one is as following:
1. Use your HDFC Bank Credit Card 5 times a month for atleast Rs.2000 each and get 1000 bonus Reward points every month.

3. Offer is applicable on – Regalia, Regalia First, Business Regalia, Diners Black, Diners Rewards, Diners Premium & Infinia
4. Offer applicable only on credit cards sourced till 31st Mar 2018
So in place of 5 transactions of Rs 1000 each now they want of Rs 2000 each. HDFC is withdrawing all offers which made it’s card lucrative. On top of that their Customer Service is pathetic. I guess time to explore alternates and review for Yes Bank Exclusive First
The good thing is that HDFC bank is actually addressing the concerns of their customers.Posting 10x points in 2 days is a milestone achievement.Providing breakup of reward points is another.What i want is that they send out email whenever they tweek any term & condition so that we know these changes first hand.It is sad that people make 1000rs transaction in a month and dont get bonus points because the new terms says min 2000rs.
