The 080 Arrival Lounge at Bangalore Airport’s T2 terminal started operations sometime in late 2023. It is considered one of the best arrival lounges in India at the moment, praised not only for its ambiance but also for its delicious variety of a la carte Veg/Non-Veg menu options. Here’s everything you need to know about the T2 lounge at BLR airport.

One of the best arrival lounges in India, with an impressive a la carte menu that leaves you wanting more.
Location
Conveniently located just before the exit from the T2 terminal and after the 080 Cafe. Follow the arrow at the Cafe’s Kiosk and walk approximately one minute straight from the 080 Cafe towards the lounge.
Be sure not to exit the terminal, as re-entry is not possible. You’ll pass the 080 transit hotel before you get to this lounge. The 080 Transit Hotel is getting ready in T2 arrivals area and should be ready in the coming months.
And just incase if you’re wondering, you can’t access this lounge if you’re landing in Terminal 1, as these are 2 different buildings and to get into this area, you’ll need to pass security, which of course will not be allowed.
Access
- Priority Pass
- Diners Club Credit Cards
- Dreamfolks Card
- Yesbank, Rupay Credit Cards & few more
I visited this experience in 1st week of July using the Priority Pass provided with Citi Prestige (pre-migration to Axis). Access duration is of 2 hours post swipe
As it’s an arrival lounge, most regular cards are still not accepted as of July 2024. Sid also visited the lounge recently with Diners BizBlack and it’s add-on cards and it all worked smooth.
Seating & Interiors
The first impression is “beautiful” as the green plants on the ceiling provide a distinctive look and a pleasant feel.
The lounge is divided into two sections. The first section is for complimentary card access and can accommodate around 60-70 people.
The second is a separate private business area for 20-25 people, meant for meetings or other purposes, and is charged at approximately ₹3000+GST.
At the time of my entry, there were only 6-8 people present, which is quite a privilege these days for an airport lounge.
Food
The menu options for an arrival lounge are fairly wide, with food served 10-20 minutes after placing your order.
The food is unlimited, and I tried almost all the Veg options. Both presentation and taste were top-notch, as was the courtesy of the staff.
Here are some pictures of the menu and food options.
Bottomline
- Cardexpert rating: 5/5
The 080 Arrival Lounge at T2 of Bangalore International Airport ticks almost all the boxes (except for rest rooms), making it a must-visit lounge if you have the right cards and a bit of time.
This was my second arrival lounge experience, following the one in Delhi long time ago. Speaking of arrival lounges, the new arrivals lounge in Delhi T3 is pretty good too. But the arrival lounge in Mumbai T2 is almost always underwhelming, as per Sid.
With this, Bangalore Airport has some of the best lounges in the country that includes Air India Lounge, 080 Lounge at T2 Departures and the 080 Lounge at T1 Departures.
Not to forget, there is also another arrival lounge (Care by BLR) in Bangalore Airport’s T1, which will be covered shortly.

Just a query, what’s the rationale behind a lounge at arrival. Might be it is meant for transit customers or international traveller’s. Will domestic passengers use this because people will like to go home or else they r waiting for the taxi to arrive etc et
It’s largely meant for International travellers. But it doesn’t hurt for domestic travellers either to have a quick meal before entering the city, given that not all originating airports have a good/uncrowded lounge.
So it is accessible from domestic arrival?
It is like visiting a restaurant before going to your house or to the work for domestic passenger
Some people (eg my wife) would value arrival lounge much more than departure lounge. Who’ll prepare meal after almost half a day spent in journey (Any departure airport will be 3-4Hr+ for travel to airport + checkin and if it is a chaotic one like Delhi, it would be 4 tiring hours)
I feel veg options in this lounge are very limited. (We end up taking Whole Wheat Parantha rolls)
Just wondering Satish, why ‘except for rest rooms’ ? The rest rooms are really beautiful and with optional shower area, I found thoese good (maybe till crowd is less, after which outside ones need to be used as well 🙂 )
Services is slow as it is a la carte a
lounge.
Arrival lounge is a good idea as many passanger, airport is a intermediate destination, they need to travel at some distant place. Also, many airports are very far from the core city/business area. So, before traveling by taxi/car for a long time, it is nice to have some meals.
Hi, very nice article.
I echo your words.
I recently used it 1st of August as my flight reached BLR at 2 AM.
We noticed this longue and entered with our credit cards and it’s accepted. Spent some good time here as it was raining outside. 2hrs is the limit post swipe.
It was good experience with good food and relaxing time for 2hrs.
Do they have shower? And is it a paid option?
I plan to arrive early in the morning from a long international flight and a shower would be wonderful!
They do have showers for sure. Paid or not, I am not sure. However, it was in the restrooms area accesseble without any additional payment so I am guessing showers may also be without any additional charges.
Ok, Thanks a lot for the info!
I was there last week. Entry through HDFC DCB card.
However, shower is separate Rs.826 per person.
Food was good, and the hosts were very courteous, Overall a very pleasant experience.
Can anyone tell me which flight to take from Chennai to bangalore which lands at terminal 2 🙂
Just to experience lounge I will fly
Last time I took flight from Chennai hyderabad air India airbus a380 new fleet. Went via bangalore. Since I had to do re secuirtycheck I went to lounge and my god the spread was so much. One of the best I experienced so far in the world few countries I visited. Heard a lot about adani lounge Mumbai. Will try someday when I go to Mumbai.
Take any Vistara, Air India or Air India Express flight.
New terminal 2 started in chennai where as of now only Air India flights take off. Thanks for the info.
What all cards are accepted?
I recently visited this lounge, there were total 7 people only. Service is slow, food presentation is very good, ambience is good, food taste/quality is Okayish.
Infinia didnt work, then I used the PP (received with Infinia) which worked fine. The washrooms are pretty clean and good shower area. The staff is Very courteous. Overall good experience.
Several folks came while I was waiting for the receptionist to note my PP number down, and the reply from the other Receptionist to those folks for most of their cards was “Your card is accepted in Departure Lounge, but not here”. Eventually none of them could enter.
I was curious, is the food free?
Yes of course via right Cards
One more lounge is available in T1 just outside the terminal building (commercial area) .
Only tea, biscuits and chips available..
Nothing else 😞🙄
And they call it as a lounge!
