3X Rewards on Axis Premium Credit Cards

While Axis Bank used to do decent merchant offers in the past during festive season, from 2020 it looks like Axis Bank is entering a new era of aggressive offers, just like other major players in the industry.

For this Diwali Axis Bank has grand set of merchant offers and even 10X rewards on Gift cards. Apart from that we now also have lucrative spend-linked offers. Here’s everything you need to know:

Offer Details

Card VariantRegular Earn Rate3X Earn RateReturn on spend
Burgundy Private Credit Card15 RP’s / Rs.20045 RP’s / Rs.2004.5%
Reserve Credit Card15 RP’s / Rs.20045 RP’s / Rs.2004.5%
Magnus Credit Card12 RP’s / Rs.20036 RP’s / Rs.2003.6%
  • Offer: 3X rewards on spends
  • Offer period: 5th Nov’20 to 5th Jan’21
  • Excluded spends: Utility bills, insurance payments and the merchants on offer for 10X EDGE points
  • Max. Cap: 1,00,000 Points per month (calendar month)
  • How to Enrol? By sending an SMS as “FESTIVE” to 56161600 or 8691000002
  • Enrolment Period: 5th Nov’20 to 25th Nov’20
  • Fulfilment: Within 60 days from end- date of the campaign

Ideally the return on spend is pretty close to Amex Diwali Offer but this one is not targeted by profile but by card type. You may opt for it as mentioned above even if you haven’t received the communication via sms/email.

To max out the benefit, you would need to spend ~5.55L on Magnus and ~4.44L on Reserve/Burgundy Private credit cards, every month, doing which you may walk away with sweet 3L points. Numbers may differ a bit if they consider 1L cap for bonus points alone.

Bottomline

Its good to see Axis Bank getting into the festive rewards game finally! Been hoping for it to happen since long time.

Though, yes, it could have been lot better if they have included other less premium cards as well, like Axis Select & Axis Privilege maybe with lower limits. Let’s see if they do it in future.

For now, the 3X rewards are giving very good return on spend on the said cards and not to forget Axis Edge rewards are very much valuable than most others as they have flexible redemption options.

What’s your take on the 3X rewards on Axis premium credit cards? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I also got the same message when I sent the message for my select credit card though the card is not mentioned in the list given in this article. Not sure whether I will get 3X point or not

I am badly burdened and harassed by credit card department for paying the credit card bill which I have not even activated. I am getting a bill every month and it is getting increased 1000rs every month as late charges, debit interest and GST for the thing I have not even activated. Also getting so much harassed by the recorded IVR of 10 calls/day minimum. What does the Axis bank think about themselves?
I have requested for the cancellation of the card last month with the request number 64676756 and how the bill is getting generated even after blocking??
When I have visited the bank not even branch manager was ready to help. What type of customer service they are giving?
Calling the customer care is another hazarded work. Never ever get connected to the right department. If connects to the right department, the person who attends the call will be clueless on what is happening to the account and never be able to solve the query.
Axis bank is a fraud company.

They missed Vistara Infinite while they charge as good as Magnus.
Cc when I intended to close asked me to hold – they shall check if the tickets can be extended (Business class x 2 i lost during lockdown)
Do not have much hopes, but will renew card only if they extend or provide anything in lieu

Why aren’t you sharing your full review on Axis edge 10x and 5x rewards which are going on with purchase of Gift vouchers as well site/partner specific rewards like 10x, though 9x edge reward points will be credited within 90days, it can definitely take on HDFC Credit card 10x reward points which are currently not giving 10x on other cards except for those two cards (HDFC Diner’s Club Black and HDFC Infinia), not everyone is having or is eligible for those cards, I think this can make a great deal for most of the average spend users to know if you can share your full review on the same

    Siddarth,

Earlier i have totally 3 cards from Axis (Select, Flipkart , My Zone) with credit limit of 90k,90k,105k separately. Currently limit has been merged from Nov 1st week. Which one is the maximum limit that has been shared among three cards. It means my total card limit in Axis is 105K. I want the suggestion from you to retain my Old limit(2.85Lakhs). Please Suggest.

It’s not only you. I was holding 2 credit cards with AXIS (Neo +Privilege). Like you pointed, somewhere early November they clubbed both the limits and the highest limit was assigned to be shared between them both. Luckily I haven’t used either of the cards for a couple months in a row. Called customer care and asked them to cancel them both and when they asked me why, I said I want even notified that the limits have been merged. The rep then said it’s bank’s policy and went ahead with the cancellation without saying further.

Does anyone has Axis bank creditcard customer-care email id or customer-care number other than toll free number. If yes, please provide.
