HDFC Business Money Back Credit Card – 3X Reward points on all business spends

Hdfc Business Moneyback Credit Card is the business class variant of the most popular money back credit card offered by HDFC Bank. That being said, only self employed professional/businessmen is eligible to own this card. This has been recently launched by the Bank, i guess during the month of July 2015. HDFC is concentrating very well in increasing the portfolio of cards for business users in recent time. That’s a great move by the Credit card segment leader. Almost all the features on Business Moneyback card is similar to that of the retail card with little changes.

Hdfc Business Money back Credit Card Benefits

The major difference in benefits can been seen in the Fuel surcharge in which you can save upto Rs.6000 a year which is comparatively higher than the retail variant, maybe because they must have inferred from the data that business users spend much on fuel. The other major difference comes in the Accelerated Rewards category. In business Moneyback card there are more categories that will get 3X Reward points like Air, Travel, Hotel bookings, Dining & Ecommerce spends which almost covers all our expense categories. Whereas in the retail card you get 3X only on Online spends which is typically ecommerce purchases.

Apart from these, all credit cards issued by HDFC in business segment can hold the name of your company under your name on the front side of your card. If you’re a self employed businessmen undoubtedly this is the best card you can ever have in your wallet in mid-premium segment. Although HDFC doesn’t advertise this as a premium card, this is very much near equivalent to any other premium cards they have, infact better than Cards like HDFC Allmiles credit card.

Features of Hdfc Moneyback Card:

  • CardExpert Rating: 3.5/5
  • Reward rate: Upto 1.2% Cashback (As Reward points to Cashback redemption)
  • Cashback Conditions: You get only 0.5% Cashback on merchant outlets. 1.2% cashback on all Business related spends.
  • Complementary Airport lounge access: Nil
  • Fuel Surcharge Waiver: Up to Rs.6000 every year
  • Foreign Exchange Markup fee: 3.5% + Service Tax
  • Renewal Fee Waiver: First year fee reversed if you spend Rs. 10,000 in first 90 days of card set-up date and renewal fee reversed if you spend Rs. 50,000 in a year
  • Special Features: No limits on earning reward points.

Hdfc Money back Credit Card Limit and offers:

This card stands above the previously reviewed HDFC Business Platinum Credit Card (discontinued) based on reward pointing system. However, there are some cases wherein Business platinum card might give better cashback if you spend a lot on Offline stores as it gives flat 1% cashback on all spends irrespective of the category. Also you can get lots of offers online, just head over to smart buy section of HDFC bank website and goto credit card offers to see a huge list of offers.

No other bank has such extensive offers across a lot of ecommerce websites. Additionally, business credit cards issued by HDFC usually comes with a higher credit limit eligibility as we typically spend quite a lot. You can also get your limit increased if you’ve very good turn over on your IT Returns.

I’ve researched quite a lot in mid-premium credit cards for Business users and found that, for beginners these 2 are the only best cards you can ever have with exceptional reward pointing system than any other card variant issued by any other bank in India. Withdrawing cash on credit card is the worst thing to do with a credit card as it comes with huge interest. Never do it.

2.If i have to use card once in 2 year for example will i have to pay or will i get charge as annual fees or other.

Unless or until the policies changes, you wont be charged for lifetime whatsoever. But its good to use the card atleast once in 5-6 months to keep the card active. Bank may freeze the card if its inactive for long.

    Hi,
I got this credit card about 7 Months back which is my first ever card. Recently got an update on the Net Banking portal about a lifetime free credit card offer and it said i was eligible for Regalia Card. But after the application i got a call from hdfc bank saying as per their policy they don’t issue a second card to the same person. My requirements right now is lower currency markup fee, so is it possible to know when i might be eligible for an upgrade. I am quite happy with my current limit. The customer care executive suggested that i cancel this card and apply for a new one, i don’t wish to do that. If you think i wont be eligible for one anytime soon i might consider the customer care’s advice or go for a new card from a different bank.

    Thanks

      My suggestion would be,
upgrade to Allmiles and wait for 3-4 months and then ask for Regalia upgrade.
Simply mail the HDFC support for this.

Right now there is no upgrade offer. The banking website says i am eligible for a range of cards but the customer care guy says otherwise. My query is should i wait for the bank to offer an upgrade or go ahead with another card, or if i have to wait what would be the approx time period for me to get the upgrade and i am regular in my payments i have never missed any payments.
        Thanks in advance

          Salman,
You have to “Mail them” and ask if they can upgrade you. You can get Allmiles this way very easily. You can still try for regalia.
Phone support doesnt have access to such information.
As far as HDFC is concerned, never call them 😀

I dint get any mail or SMS or calls stating REWARDS point in money back credit card is going to change. I was accumulating REWARDS points trusting HDFC suddenly I checked my REWARDS points value dripped from 2000 to 1500/- on top of it der is 75rs+service tax charges when we redeem it, this is too rubbish with out intimating customer how can yu change & for existing reward point value is dropped what nonsense is this? I wanted to resolve this from hdfc

By thinking REWARDS point are safe. I left it withing redeeming but suddenly with out intimating customer no calls no msgs no mail reward points value propped means I have 5000 point which was 2000rs now it became 1500rs I shud pay 75 RS charge to redeem it what nonsense is this? How existing point value can be dropped so worstly that too without intimating.
