O2 Spa at Bangalore Airport Review (Domestic)

By | September 3, 2018

The O2 Spa is known for its quality services and soothing ambiance which truly unwinds you from the daily stress and tensions. Presence of this Spa at Airport is most needed as travellers get tired easily during Air Travel.

During one of my trip to Delhi, I intentionally booked a layover at Bangalore Airport so my return leg looks like DEL-BLR-MAA. I had about 2 hrs layover so i decided to experience the Spa at airport for the first time before i get some refreshments at Above Ground Levell Lounge.

Location

Its located inside the security check-in area (Airside) at domestic departure terminal, Bangalore Airport. Follow the signage post security clearance and you can reach O2 Spa by walking a minute or two.

Price & Getting Access

  • Paid Access: The O2 Spa at Bangalore airport offers a variety of 30/60/90 minutes massages. Usually there are no discounts at the airport and the cost is overall expensive, with rates starting from ~1500 INR for 30 mins.
  • Complimentary Access: I got access to this spa using my Dreamfolks DragonPass Card and the card authentication was quick and easy. They just took my Dreamfolks DrangonPass Privilege card number and punched it in their system to check the available visits left.

The Card comes with 2 complimentary visits by default and you can avail both visits at once or share it with a guest if you wish. Its quite flexible and i liked that.

Ambience

It has proper lighting with background music and pleasant smell that makes you feel refreshing. The massage chairs were quite comfortable and the overall setup feels very spacious.

Service

If you go with the complimentary access, Dreamfolks usually gives you three options (30 mins each) in most outlets.

  • Foot Reflexology
  • Head/Neck/Shoulder Massage
  • Upper/Lower back Massage

I went with Foot Reflexology and it was quite good. If i have had more visits left, i would have gone with all three 😀

Interesting part is they even give you the bill, as if you’ve paid. On asking, the guy at billing counter said that Dreamfolks will pay for it. Its quite high (~1500 INR) and that’s the reason why Dreamfolks seems to limit it at just 2 Visits a year.

Bottomline

Overall, it was a pleasant experience and certainly makes travel less stressful. If you’ve about an hour left for your boarding, consider checking out O2 Spa next time when you visit the Bangalore Airport. You can get complimentary access through Dreamfolks Dragonpass card issued by ICICI with Sapphiro Range of Cards like ICICI Jet Sapphiro Amex.

  • CardExpert Rating: 4/5 [yasr_overall_rating]

Complimentary Spa access is the new trend in credit card industry and we’re lucky to see it happening. It seems that this outlet is seeing good traction with 70+ footfalls a month through Dragonpass access, which is a good sign that people are actually using it.

    Hello Siddhart sir,

Is their any other card which comes with Dragonpass apart from ICICI Sapphiro range of cards?

I want to have one but sapphiro is top-end lineup and I guess their eligibility is above 10 lacs ITR. Correct me if i am wrong.

I don’t think they’re strict about ITR, but existing limit over 1.5L should help for upgrade.

Dreamfolks is working to introduce their cards with other banks too, but it may take a while.

I don’t have any idea about normal sapphiro. But for Jet Sapphiro, such conditions are not there. I got it when my limit on the normal coral card was just 76k. After the upgrade, they offered for a limit increase to 1.26 lakhs.

I don’t have relationship with ICICI. All i do have is RFirst with 3L limit, simplyclick 50K and YFP with 30K. ITR- 7 Lacs.

Should i apply for icici rubyx and then upgrade to Sapphiro.

Yes, that would be an easier option. But check with branch to see if they can take the application directly based on RF limit.

YFP have only 30 K limits ? very very low limits !

    Hey Arth

Yeah for some reason i got the lowest limit. I had applied on card to card with my hdfc (3L). Even my outstanding is not that much. That’s not an issue. My NRV with yesbank is increased, with good spends and six months later will try to increase CL.

I have currently applied for Axis Myzone card based on ITR. Let’s see how it goes. After 4-5 months I’ll apply for ICICI cards.

Axis my zone card is not worth after they reduced the lounge access to 1 from quarter which was earlier two per quarter, with no waiver of yearly charges, I have reduced my spends on that and will gradually close the card after the continuing emi will get over in December.

I got Myzone (LTF) so applied. Relationship is high with acis currently. I have applied for movie ticket benefits. It’s a decent card to start with. Hopefully in a year i’ll be eyeing for Vistara Infinite card.

    Hi Siddharth ,
Recently ICICI increased CL of my Rubyx card from 63K to 1.53L. Is it possible to get Sapphiro at that CL ?
Does Jet Sapphiro comes with Amex-Visa combination by default or I need apply specifically for dual variant ? Thanks.

Yes, you can get Sapphiro Card. Just give a call to ICICI Customer Care they will be happy to take your upgrade request. When I upgraded to Jet Saphhiro with both Dual Variants my CL on old Coral Card was just 1.12l.

Hi Sid, Why you needed to take “DEL-BLR-MAA”, While O2 SPA Delhi T3 also mentioned in ICICI list…

Earlier they were denying access stating that only the outlet at Intl departure has access.
