IndusInd Bank Credit Card launch with Qatar Airways and British Airways

IndusInd Bank, British Airways Executive Club, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club announced today (5th Jan 2023) that they will be introducing a multi-branded credit card powered by Visa.

This is the first time that British Airways and Qatar Airways have partnered with a Bank in India for a co-branded credit card, “maybe” more in the pipeline.

  • Actual launch: The co-branded credit card which will be available in the Visa Infinite variant is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2023-2024.
  • Benefits: The card will offer a range of benefits to elevate the international travel experience of customers including airport meet-and-greet service.

One of the unique features of this credit card is that it allows members to collect Avios, the rewards currency for both “British Airways – Executive Club” and “Qatar Airways – Privilege Club”. Customers will have the flexibility to select their preferred airline loyalty program and enjoy other benefits.

Overall, this partnership between IndusInd Bank, British Airways, and Qatar Airways represents an exciting opportunity for travellers in India to access exclusive benefits and rewards through a single credit card.

My Thoughts

While we don’t know the actual benefits of the credit card yet, I’m hoping that this will be a wonderful product for Indians to explore the Points & Miles game which has been in the trend since 2022, thanks to the new Axis Points transfer ability.

While we wait for next couple of weeks for the card to go live, what’s your thoughts about the British Airways Executive Club and Qatar Airways Privilege Club? Feel free to share in the comments below.
