After using for 6 months or so, email HDFC support if they can upgrade you to Allmiles. They’ll certainly do it as Lifetime Free Card.

The EMI offer is refreshed every month for all users. Any big purchases on flipkart etc easily enables your a/c for the EMI/loan offers. Check back after a month, you maybe lucky.

      Bhavani,
To HDFC, every customer is different and recently they’re issuing almost all cards for free.
So if sales rep. says its free, you can certainly believe it.
They usually take sign from you for the same. They did so for me when they gave me lifetime free card.

Yes, HDFC offers lots such promotions. I guess you’re talking about txn’s done on “PayZapp” to make the card lifetime free.
Any offer that you receive on writing (usually they ask to sign those docs while applying for the card) should be working.

      Haritha,
You’ve to check if your card has EMI enabled. EMi option on cards are dynamic with HDFC and keeps changing.
If its available, you can convert any purchase to EMI.

i would like to know that can the individual opting for a HDFC solitaire credit card be selective on the limit permissible. example if he/she is eligible for a limit of 3 lakh and above is it possible for them to ask for a lesser limit (approx 50,000/-)

    1. Siddharth

No one would generally want to do this,
But yes, you can request to reduce your limit.

They’ll generate a monthly bill. All details will be there in it. To know your bill date, check net-banking or talk to CC.

Got my wifes solitare card upgraded to regalia. Limit was increased from around 1L to 2.5L. Since the earlier card was mastercard they have issued world mastercard. I was hoping of getting visa sugnature, didnt realise abt mastercard. Can the card be converted to visa.
Its sad that now regalia is devalued.

Yes, you can. Just ask the cust. care to replace. Or you can even send letter from branch/RM.

Hi Siddharth, I have applied for solitaire card that as told as lifetime free by sales rep from HDFC bank. He said it would hold zero interest EMI on any purchase I make. Now my doubt is, whether there will be any extra charges that would be applicable or is it just life time free zero interest emi credit card where I would buy things and pay just the mrp amount divided by tenure I choose?

Its more of how credit card works.
Ideally, you just need to pay what you spend on your card, as long as you pay the bill within the due date.

      Reg. 0% EMI,
This is merchant offer and it “does not” apply to all txns.
You choose to pay for X months at x% Interest while buying from flipkart (for ex) which will be billed to your card.
This needs to be paid before due date.

I’ve a Solitaire card and was planning on getting a cash back done against the next billed statement. However, in the cash back redemption form, I see they have mentioned that each reward point will be equal to 0.20 ps. So after reading this article, I’m confused now. Please guide. Thanks!

Looks like the reward points has been devaluated ….
Now for shopping vouchers its showing – 0.25 Ps
so that makes this card utterly useless with a reward rate of 0.67%
The only advantage its a LTF card. So u can keep as a backup or emergency.
