Axis Bank not only has all the amazing credit cards in premium segment but also a good number of entry-level cards, out of which Axis Neo Credit Card is currently being issued as Lifetime Free Credit Card.
Axis Bank Neo Credit Card comes with card-linked benefits like 40% OFF on Zomato for which it’s known for. Here is everything you need to know,

It’s an entry level card with perhaps the lowest ever annual fee on a card I’ve ever seen. But anyway it’s being issued as a Lifetime Free card for now.
Rewards
- 1 RP for every 200 INR spend (Reward Rate = 0.10%)
- 1 RP = 0.20 INR on edge rewards portal
Such low reward rate on Axis Neo is unacceptable in 2024 where even standard LTF cards can offer reward rate of ~2% or so.
If you’ve decent ongoing monthly spends and still don’t wish to pay any fees for credit card, you should instead explore Axis Ace Credit Card (or) better IDFC Credit Cards like the IDFC Millenia (or) IDFC Select Credit Card which comes with pretty good benefits and is also a Lifetime Free card.
Features & Benefits
- 5% off on Utility bill payments via Amazon Pay (upto 150 INR, once a month)
- 10% off on Myntra, Blinkit, Bookmyshow (capping & min txn value applies)
Except the 5% off on utility bill payment benefit, all else are close to useless in this time and age.
I feel that the bank should have also refreshed the features and benefits of the card while refreshing the design.
But of-course it’s a ultra low fee card, so one can’t complain.
Hands-on Experience
To experience the Axis Bank Neo credit card, we took one in family assuming that it would help us save a bit with Zomato orders but it’s tricky.
The problem is that it doesn’t work with all restaurants like the Swiggy offer which we used to have with Axis MyZone Credit Card.
The restaurants that are eligible to use the Axis Neo 40% Off coupon code already has the same 40% offer without any card. So it’s useful only when you need to avail the offer very many times.
I wish the Zomato coupon usage is more liberal than it is now to make sense for most.
From my experience Axis Bank is only degrading their value by partnering with such t&c making the offer inaccessible to most.
So if you’re planning to get the card, I would suggest checking the offer once with your preferred restaurants and then decide. That said, when the offer is available, it’s certainly useful.
Bottom line
- Cardexpert Rating: 3.5/5
The Axis Bank Neo Credit Card is good for those who can really make use of the Zomato & Amazon offer among other small merchant offers.
Otherwise one has to consider going for other credit cards with better rewards or cashback. Here is list of some of the best credit cards issued in India for you to choose from.
Do you find any value in Neo Credit Card? Feel free to share in the comments below.
Rating of 3.5 is outrageous. It must be 1.5 out of 5.
lol, let it enjoy 3.5 for the 5% off on amazon at-least.
When can we expect “Best credit cards for 2024” 🙂
Having high hopes to publish within a week. Let’s see.
It’s not even worth of your time to explore this card Sid.
True, but realised that only later. Thought to use it like the Previous Swiggy offer on MyZone but turned out to be useless, will swap for some other card.
Hi, already i had axis flipkart, indian oil, my zone credit cards with limits more than 1 lakh & since 1 year. When i had applied for neo credit card it was rejected saying that one person can hold max of 3 cards from axis. Is this normal.
What can i do.
Yes, normal. You may drop Myzone perhaps and try, but again not worth it IMO. Maybe Ace would do.
