If you frequently travel through Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2 on domestic flights, chances are you are already familiar with the massive 080 Lounge. However, there is also a relatively compact VIP section within the same lounge that is far quieter and more comfortable.
I have visited this lounge a couple of times since 2024, and here is everything you need to know about this VIP lounge and how to access it.
Table of Contents
Check-in

The check-in for this section of the lounge happens at the same reception desk as the 080 Lounge.
If your card is eligible, the staff will mention it on the slip, which is then validated again at the lounge entrance. The staff will also guide you to the VIP section.
Seating Area
The lounge features beautiful decor at the centre, which I personally enjoy, especially when it is well lit.

The seating layout consists of a good number of tables, arranged more like a dining area and less like a traditional lounge. That said, the seating is very comfortable and ideal for spending an hour or so.

During my visits, it is usually just me and one other table occupied, with the rest of the lounge largely empty, thanks to the limited card acceptance (back then).
Food
Since the lounge sees limited footfall, hot food is not served here at the moment. Guests need to access the buffet area of the main 080 Lounge for hot meals.
However, the VIP lounge does offer a selection of cold desserts. I expect hot food service to begin here once the footfall increases.
Drinks
Earlier, the lounge only offered tea and coffee with some biscuits and stuff. However, during my most recent visit in December 2025, I noticed that they had started offering one complimentary drink per guest.

Lounge Access
For almost a year, only ICICI Bank Emeralde credit cards were accepted for access to this lounge. However, during my latest visit, I learned that several additional cards are now eligible. Here are the ones I am aware of:
- BOBCard: Eterna Credit Card (Lifetime Free Offer)
- ICICI Bank: Emeralde, Emeralde Private, Times Black, Private Banking (Debit)
- YesBank: Yes Private; Premia, First, Apex & Eclectic (Debit)
- DBS: Vantage; Easemytrip & Signature (Debit)
- Equitas: Elite (debit)
I compiled the above list after reviewing the images of the cards accepted for entry at the lounge. Eligibility may change at any time.
I have personally accessed this lounge multiple times using the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Credit Card, and the experience has always been seamless.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Courtyard Club that’s popularly known as VIP Lounge at KIAL Terminal 2 is a great alternative if you prefer a quieter and more relaxed pre-flight experience.
While it currently relies on the main 080 Lounge for hot food, the comfortable seating, low crowd levels, and newly introduced drink service make it a worthwhile option if your card is eligible.
If you value peace over variety, this VIP section does its job well. However, with more cards now getting access, including the BOB Eterna which is now available as Lifetime Free, it will be interesting to see if the lounge stays this quiet going forward.

What about any HSBC Premier cards please? Will it work to access the VIP lounge?
Surprised to see my equitas debit card on the list. Wonder if equitas powermiles will work too
I am looking to make an international Indigo flight booking for roughly 1 lac and am ok to book through any portal using any of the cards to maximise discounts. The travel date is 45 days away so am ok to wait for any specific day of the week offers to maximise discounts.
Between me and members in my family, we have the following cards.
ICICI (Amazon Pay, Sapphiro)
HDFC (Swiggy, Tata Neu, Cashback)
Axis (MyZone, Rewards, Flipkart)
IDFC First Select
IndusInd Easy diner
BOB Eterna
Axis Burgundy Debit
Can someone please advise me on which card/portal to use to maximise the discounts?
I accessed the lounge using my ICICI Private Metal Add-on card via direct swipe. I also generated a coupon for two people using the EPM Primary card through the LoungeOne online portal. They issued two drink vouchers, exactly as described in this review. We received special treatment, including a complimentary piece of cake and a cake-cutting ceremony, as we were the only guests in that section. It was a very nice experience.
Note: I also tried generating a voucher using the standard Emeralde card, but the VIP lounge does not offer free entry with that card.
Is there any way to get bob eterna add on card for 7 year old kid also?
Or any way to get access to this vip lounge for kid using bob eterna card, like via QR code can I book for kid and for me, I can use physical card same time?
No. at a time , you can use only one either QR code or physical card.
I used my eterna cc to access this lounge yesterday. I did not have physical card with me and the staff helped me to book via loungeone.ai website.. I opted for cranberry mocktail as complimentary beverage. Overall I had a good experience.
Amex Platinum Charge works?
Not in the updated list that I saw.
I love the decor inside, very tastefully done.
They have stopped ICICI emeralde private metal, tried it on 20-Dec 2025
I used the EPM to access the lounge in November 25…
Not aware of any change since then..
Interesting..
Was your card EPM or emerald private?
I have used Emeralde Pvt Metal on 14th Nov for entry to this section.
Plus one. I also have the ICICI EPM. They have stopped it both for domestic and international as well. I tried availing the international one around a week back.
lol then which card they will accept 🙂 when i went in jan and also dec 2025 they said emerald card entry is allowed. I did not ask details whether it is metal or plastic card.
By the way in march again when i used 080 arrival lounge my experience was different. It was after 10 PM. They were taking continuous orders. I just took chicken momo, Pad thai was there. Then they got mutton kababs. They had desserts too like kulfi .
So no Infinia, it’s priority pass or dcb ?
I have been to T2 terminal last week in bangalore.
They said both Infinia and DCB are ordinary credit cards 🙂
Since i had connecting flight i had breakfast in chennai , Lunch and dinner at bangalore 080. I would say people who have limited lounge access do not use Bangalore Arrival lounge. There is no food options except Can soda which i dont take then cold sandwich. I asked them to heat up and they said kitchen closed and would open only by 7:00 PM
BOB Eterna holders have been allowed into this VIP section for at least 6-9 months now. Have used it to enter a few times. The free drink is however new to me!
Will try next time as I have BoB eterna.
