Nestled across six acres on the picturesque Kralsangri hilltop, overlooking Dal Lake with a stunning backdrop of the majestic Zabarwan Mountains, Taj Dal View Srinagar (a 5-star TAJ property) offers some of the best views of what is often described as ‘Paradise on Earth.’

Requested an upgrade politely via email & was thrilled to secure a 2 level Room upgrade to a Bigger n Luxurious Grand Luxury/Premium Indulgence Room with Bathtub, on all 3 days

We received a Grand Welcome on arrival by Hotel staffs: with showering of Rose petals, performing Arti & black smoke for Nazar utarna.

While I was being Checked-in at reception, we were served a delicious local Welcome drink “Kahwa”.

Breakfast is complimentary for 2 Adults+2 Childs aged upto 12 years. Food spread/taste is decent with Live south indian dishes counter and more. Table service experience was good too.

Things to know

• “Taj Dal View” was opened in the year 2011. Phased Renovation is underway, nearing completion. Hence, all room types may not be available for booking
• Special/Member rates applicable via Taj Hotels app, if you register on Neu app using same credentials
• Usually you get 20% discount over Standard Rates on Booking via TATA Neu app (Table mentions this rate, under Rate via Neu app)
• You will likely get a 30% discount on Booking via HDFC NeuCard using Neu app, but its almost always a non-refundable rate
• If you hold Amex Plat Charge, you may as well get 25% off rate with default auto-upgrade request by Amex Plat Travel Concierge
• Kahwa at Taj Dal View is just too good & not to be missed

Taj Hospitality

3 Major festivals are celebrated in a Grand manner at Taj Dal View, viz. Deepawali, Eid & Christmas.

I was present on Deepawali day & enjoyed Diwali decorations, special festive amenities, complimentary evening Hi-tea party, followed by Grand Fire-Cracker show.

My Son had a burn while bursting Fire-Crackers & staffs including their GM ensured quick Ice pad application+ ready to help should we need any

On check-out day Son caught ill & upon asking for help, doctor consultation was provided. Also a high quality digital Thermometer & Khichdi was packed for us without any extra charge.

Overall, housekeeping & service experience at the Hotel was exemplary.

Taj Dal View is one of the best 5 Star property in Srinagar (other being The Lalit). It’s best booked using TAJ Epicure Privileged/Preferred memberships. This is because Revenue rates are high throughout the year.

Upon enquiry at front desk, I came to know that ~50% bookings are made using Epicure Complimentary Stay Nights. Hence, I recommend Epicure Privileged/Preferred booking route for enjoying this exclusive property.
