I’ve been waiting for IDFC First bank credit card offers to kick-in on my IDFC First Select credit card for a while and I’m glad that it happened before 2021 comes to an end.
Here’s a small yet wonderful New Year offer that you shouldn’t be missing out, just incase you’ve received the same, as it’s a TARGETED offer.
Offer Details
- Offer: Get XXX Reward points on performing XXX spends
- Offer Period: 16th Dec 2021 – 5th Jan 2022
- Min. Spend: Rs.100 per txn
- Min. txns to take: 5 transactions (depends on the offer)
- Fulfilment: 60 days after offer end date
- Source: SMS
Some have received the offer as mobile push notification as well. Below is the one Satish received. So it’s time to enable the notifications. 😀
Note: The offer is different for different cardholders, just like how AMEX/HDFC does. Do pay attention to the SMS you’ve received.
Offer Variants
- Get 10K points on spending 20K INR
- Get 7.5K points on taking 5 txns
- Get 5K points on taking 5 txns
So in my case (#3 offer), all I need to do is just spend Rs.100 * 5 times anywhere (no restrictions) and boom, you’re eligible for the offer.
That’s the simplest & easiest way to earn Rs.1250 worth of reward points in the world.
An interesting point to note here is that you just need to spend Rs.500 (minimum) but you get rewards more than what you spend. Whoever designed this offer, may he/she live long. 😀
Just to avoid unwanted triggers to IDFC, consider spending normally, meaning, don’t go ahead and load wallets in 100’s five times. Try to be generous, just as how IDFC is with this offer.
Bottomline
Finally its good to see that IDFC Bank is focusing on credit card offers, as they were quite busy with debit card offers like 1% & 10% cashback offers all these days.
Hope such promos on IDFC Credit card increases in coming months with better targeted offers like higher spend/rewards for premium cards, faster fulfilment like above and more.

Yes it is, but many have received. So not sure how many % of users its targeted. Good to check with support just incase if one haven’t received the SMS.
SMS received States that 5000 points on minimum spend of 10000 between 16th December to 5th January

Hi, Where can I get the details of the offer of getting 2000 bonus reward points(value: Rs.500) on spending Rs.500 within 30 days of card issuance? Or will it come over SMS? I have applied the card 31st Dec and also recived the card. In the welcome kit, I have seen the offer of getting a voucher worth Rs. 500 by spending Rs. 15k within 90 days of card issuance.
Got a email stating use the card for 7 times before 15th February and get 6000 points.
There are different slabs like use for 6 times get xxx points.

IDFC is on full swing. Another similar offer on select card, applicable separately on add on card too. Spend 7 or more times, get 6000 reward points. In t&c it is mentioned no minimum transaction amount(Not even 100 Rs). IDFC has gone crazy.
