Flipkart VIP, the paid annual subscription for frequent shoppers similar to Amazon Prime has received a noteworthy upgrade.
The program is now called Flipkart Black, and its newest addition is a complimentary 1-year YouTube Premium subscription.
To activate, go to the Flipkart Black section and click the YouTube Premium banner and follow the process.
If you’re already a Flipkart VIP member, simply cancel your current YouTube Premium plan and activate this benefit.
Beyond YouTube Premium, Flipkart Black also offers perks like 5% SuperCoin cashback, priority customer support, and more.
While this is great news for existing VIP members, it’s odd that Flipkart is currently not accepting new sign-ups for the VIP/Black subscription.
And to add to the confusion, Flipkart continues to run Flipkart Plus Silver/Gold tiers separately making their loyalty program naming a bit messy for customers.
That said, it would make perfect sense for Flipkart to extend the Black subscription to Axis Flipkart Credit Cardholders, perhaps based on a spend threshold. I’m hoping they consider it in the future!
Recently my existing VIP membership got upgraded to Black membership automatically. And great to see YT Premium offered for an year.
Great value buy every year as long as YT membership is available with Black membership.
Automatically ? for me it is asking to pay 999. Is it worth it ? 5% cashback is only upto 100 coins and in every purchase we can maximum use 10 or 15. Most of the time it expires so i stopped useing flipkart.
Anything special with this black membership. I have DCb card so i can buy gift card worth 10000 every month.

I checked with Flipkart and they said that it’s shown only for select eligible users at the moment.
Can the YT subscription be stacked on existing sub?
No, existing YT membership has to be cancelled first. The FAQ section of the FK Black membership clearly mentions it.
