Update: This lounge has been closed and is now replaced with a new lounge for domestic passengers. Check out the new lounge review here: Earth Lounge at Cochin Airport
I happened to visit Earth Lounge at Cochin Airport, Domestic departure while i was traveling to Mumbai. Cochin Airport is a very old one i’ve seen so far with all old looks, facilities, etc. I was wondering how come the same place is used by all the celebrities in Cochin. Fortunately, new buildings are being built and should be in operations shortly.
By the way, this is the first airport lounge i’ve ever seen where the Lounge is located before the Security check-in. Wish my house is located near cochin airport 😉 Just get into the airport with a confirmed flight ticket and you can get into the lounge in a minute. The Lounge has the traditional looks and seating area, but is very comfortable than the typical modern chairs/sofas.
My Experience at Earth lounge Cochin:
We were welcomed by a smiling receptionist, i must mention, she looked as good as Jet Airways beautiful Air Hostess 😉 We were 3 of us, so she swiped all our Diners/Priority pass cards and gave us the access to the lounge. They had some 5 or so Swipe machines on table which accepts almost all cards in the planet.
I started with some fresh fruits, then to the delicious main course – Chicken/Fish curry with rice were so good. Got some soft drinks and i was super heavy then.
Facilities at Earth Lounge – Cochin Airport :
- CardExpert Lounge Rating: 4/5
- Wifi: Yes (haven’t tried)
- Food: Yes – Buffet. Rice+Fish curry = Awesome.
- Ambiance: Very Good.
- Complimentary Access on: Priority Pass, Diners Club, Mastercard
Overall, its a traditional lounge with all facilities to make your flight journey a memorable one. Their buffet is more like what you would get in a 4 star hotel. Pretty much enough for a lounge. As mentioned before, i had one of the tastiest fish curry & rice in this lounge. Its a signature dish of Kerala indeed, give it a try if you visit 🙂
