Air India Maharaja Club Points Fest 2026: Earn Up to 50% Bonus Points

Air India is back with its much-loved Maharaja Club Points Fest, and this year it is bigger than ever. To celebrate crossing 100+ partners, the airline is giving members a chance to earn up to 50% bonus Maharaja Points through the whole month of May 2026.

If you have been saving points for a dream trip, this is the right time to top up your account. Here’s everything you need to know:

Bonus Slabs

The bigger you convert, the bigger the bonus. Here is the slab structure:

Maharaja Points Received from ConversionBonus You Earn
1 to 25,00010%
25,001 to 50,00020%
50,001 to 75,00030%

Above 1,00,00050%

Easy example: If you convert 1,00,000 ICICI reward points into Maharaja Points, you get an extra 40,000 points as bonus. If you push it above 1,00,000, you unlock the full 50% bonus.

Eligible partners

Here are the eligible partners for the promotion:

PartnerDetails
HDFC Bank2:1 – not so great transfer ratio
ICICI Bank1:1 on few cards
Air India SBI Credit CardOutstanding value
SBI Aurum & Travel CardI guess “travel” refers to miles cards
Kotak Mahindra Bank1:1 on Solitaire cards – good
Yes BankPoor transfer ratio
IndusInd BankTiger Card transfer is good but capped
Flipkart SuperCoins
RBL Bank
Federal Bank
Punjab National Bank
Jupiter
DBS Bank1:0.8 on Vantage Card, decent
Bandhan Bank
Union Bank of India
Central Bank of India
HSBC UK, UAE, Qatar & MalaysiaInternational Banking Partners
South Indian Bank
Karur Vysya Bank
Audi India
HeyMax & E-rewardsWeird rewards platforms
Maximize, Magnify & On PointGift Card Apps

Of all the partners, select ICICI cards like Emeralde Private (Metal) & SBI Air India Signature Credit Card are the lucrative options.

While others might be good, most don’t have significant points balance on them ideally, making them ineligible for the 50% bonus.

Excluded Partners

Some partners are excluded from this bonus offer. Points converted from these will NOT earn extra Maharaja Points:

Excluded PartnerReasoning
Axis BankAlready lucrative
HSBC IndiaInteresting exclusion
Axis Bank Vistara Co-brand CardsExcluded co-brand card
Club Vistara SBI Co-brand CardsExcluded co-brand card
Club Vistara IDFC Bank Co-brand CardsExcluded co-brand card
Club Vistara IndusInd Bank Explorer Co-brand CardsExcluded co-brand card

Things to Keep in Mind

  • You must register for the offer first. Points earned before registration will not get the bonus.
  • Only your first eligible transaction with each partner during May 2026 counts for the bonus.
  • The maximum bonus you can earn from any single partner is 2,00,000 points.
  • If you use multiple partners, each partner’s bonus is given separately. So if you convert HDFC points and ICICI points in the same month, both will earn their own bonus based on the slab.
  • All transactions must happen between 1st May 2026 (12:00 AM) and 31st May 2026 (11:59 PM).
  • For the Shop and Earn part, both the booking and the actual service (like a hotel stay) must be used within May 2026.
  • Once Maharaja Points are credited, they cannot be reversed.
  • Any complaints must be raised within 90 days after the offer ends.

Bottom line

For frequent flyers and credit card holders in India, this is one of the easiest ways to grow the point balance fast. A single big conversion (above 1 lakh points) gets you a full 50% bonus which boost the point value from current ~1 INR to ~1.5 INR (my valuation).

This is coming at the right time when Air India reduced the points requirement for award flights across its 90% of the routes. So there is no better time than this to accumulate Air India Points.

If you have reward points lying unused in your HDFC, ICICI, SBI or Kotak account, May 2026 is a smart time to move them into your Air India Maharaja Club account.

Are you moving points from ICICI or from elsewhere to Air India during the current points fest? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Those who are getting the SOP-330023 error, try with your name in all CAPS and it should work.

    Hello
    I have a query
On one hand you are saying that only points earned after registration or 1.5.26 will be considered for bonus, but on the other hand you are saying that ‘if you are sitting on big chunk of points this is the time’.
    You can understand my confusion!!

When we say 1L points for 50% promo, are we saying bank reward points or the converted maharaja points!

I was getting the same message: “ SOP-330023 An error occurred during the SOAP call. You don’t have the required rights to view the detail”
I changed the browser from Chrome to Safari and accepted all cookies. It worked.
