By | September 27, 2016

This Festive season American Express is running quite a lot of promotions to get attention of the public to signup for Amex cards. Recently they’re running 3% fuel cashback offer which i recently noticed that its being displayed as one of card benefits in application signup pages. Now they’ve come up with a new offer to promote their eZeClick feature.

eZeClick is nothing but a service used for faster checkout. You simply signup to get your personalized eZeClick ID. Save your card details in it so next time when you want to make a transaction, simply enter the eZeClick ID and it will send you the OTP for authentication. Its explained in 3 steps as below.

American Express eZeClick Spend based Offer:

To get people use eZeClick feature, Amex has come up with a nice cashback offer. Details below:

American Express eZeClick offer

American Express eZeClick offer

  • Earn Rs.1,000 Cashback on eZeClick transactions for a cumulative spend of Rs.20,000 or more.
  • Offer valid between 26th September and 25th October, 2016.
  • The Cashback as statement credit would be processed within 90 days from offer end date.
  • You need to enroll first to be eligible for the offer.
  • Enroll Now

Somehow i don’t like the fact that American Express always wants us to Enroll for the offer they’re running. Yes, it saves a lot of money for them but not fair for a company like Amex.

Well, speaking about the offer, that’s a impressive 5% value back as you get 1k for spending 20k. On top of that, you also earn regular reward points. That’s double dip. Enjoy! Just make sure you’re opting for eZeClick during the checkout. Many payment gateways like CCAvenue has this enabled. Create your eZeClick ID if you haven’t yet.

Looks like American Express is vigorous in promotions this festive season. What do you think about this offer? Share your views below.

One interesting feature of this promo (which I confirmed from their Customer Service) is that every supplementary card is treated as a separate card. So if you enrol for both Primary & Supplementary Card, you are eligible for cashback on both.

Rethink on the part of Amex. They sent me a mail today saying that spends on supplementary cards will be counted as part of the Primary card which is exactly opposite of what their rep confirmed yesterday on a recorded line.

Is it applicable on American Express Cards issued by Others Bank? I am having Indusind bank Iconia American Express Credit Card, but when i try to register using the link, it brings me to a under construction page and my registration is not successful.

        Siddharth,

What is the difference between direct Amex cards and the ones given by other banks? I’ve applied for IndusInd Iconia Amex card as I haven’t had Amex card till now, will I not be able to enjoy all the promotions they are running?

Also, how is Amex acceptance in India? I hope they’ll be accepted in popular online sites and petrol bunks, restaurants atleast….
